About me
I'm Peer Schlieker.
I build machine learning systems that solve real problems, particularly ones connected to protecting the natural world.
I've deployed models in production at happyhotel and study Applied AI at Offenburg University. Right now, I'm focused on analyzing forest degradation in the Black Forest using clustering algorithms and Sentinel satellite data.
When I'm not coding, I'm outdoors: sailing, bikepacking, hiking through forests. These aren't separate from my work. They're direct reminders of what's worth protecting and shape which problems I choose to solve.
